There are many points of commonality between a boat and the stage, both are vehicles of exploration and adventure, they share a common language: we speak of deck-hands and stage-hands, a ship’s company and a theatre company, both have rigging and a crew, a boat raises a wake as it passes through the water and so too a powerful performance raises ripples in the surrounding culture.

We are fortunate that hear the Bosun’s call and join the company to venture forth; time and tide wait for no one and the show must go on!
